March 8th, 2015 – It was a true honor and privileged for my husband and I to minister the living Word at IMG_3734Westside Ministries over the last two weekends.   We consider Westside Ministries FAMILY as we have been in relationship with them for over 10 years now.  They are now calling Conrad and I… “Uncle and Auntie”!

Lifeline Outreach Int’l was able to bring in over 500 pairs of NEW shoes for both boys and girls, ages ranging from 1-16.  We gave away hiking books and Sketchers shoes.  Shoes seems like such a small thing when there are so many homeless.  We want do to so much more for those who are in need…

This report came in from Westside:

impact-shoeMeet Claribel. Claribel is a young autistic girl who i have known for several years. She, along with her brothers and sisters have been coming to Westside Ministries for a few years. Do to some unknown circumstances, they did not show up one week or the next, or many afterwards. She and her family stopped coming without an explanation. Recently the family returned to our community and i learned that they had come upon some hard times. The family was displaced from their home and had nothing. They literally carried all their belongings in their van. We were glad to see their faces and know that they were well, at least in spirit. Two of the kids did not own a pair of shoes. We were able to change that, not only did they receive a pair of shoes but they were able to receive NEW shoes, not hand-me-downs or used yard sale shoes. I am glad to be a part of giving hope and love through a simple pair of shoes. Claribel was extremely happy, to put it lightly, and the smiles across the faces of the kids is what makes it all worth it.
